Customise your snare sound! The Remo Weckl Active Snare Head Dampening System allows you to easily control the sustain time on your snare drum. Simply slide the O-ring up or down to adjust the millisecond gate time. You can also adjust the amount of dampening by moving the plunger assembly closer or farther away from the counter hoop. All of this combined allows you to customise your snare sound for a wide variety of playing situations. The Remo Active Snare Dampening System was developed with American jazz fusion drummer Dave Weckl. The active dampening system has a floating plunger that acts like a physical noise gate moving off the head upon impact to allow the drum to breath then coming back down to muffle the drum depending on your taste. The adjustable clamp will mount to almost any rim- including toms as well as snare drums.
