Clamps like this are also known as 'dogbones', and indeed - the resemblance is striking. Attach the clamp with the V-side to your cymbal stand, and then mount the desired holder in the Eyebolt, for example a percussion rod. There is a tilter on both sides so you can always find the right position. The clamp is 7 inches, or 17.8 cm long.
