This Sela Percussion Dark Moon 28-inch Wind Gong is entirely handmade in China: cast, hammered and finished by hand, from a unique bronze alloy. The flat design, with no upturned edge like a "chau" gong, produces a more open, less muffled sound than previously mentioned gongs. The rough striking surface contributes to an organic, layered earthy sound with lots of character. Useful in meditative and therapeutic settings, but also as a sound source in musical projects: from orchestra to soundscapes.
