Aguilar is a familiar name in the realm of bass guitar amplification. In addition to their famous bass amplifiers and speaker cabinets, Aguilar make preamps to install into the guitar itself, they're called On-Board Preamps (OBP). The OBP-3 is the most advanced preamp from this series and comes as a part of a number of different sets for numerous installation options. With this OBP-3SK version, S stands for stacked, which means that one potentiometer can do more than one thing.The OBP-3SK/PP setWith the OBP-3SK on-board preamp for bass guitars you can fit your bass with an active 3-band EQ that allows you to boost or filter bass, mids and trebles (18 dB at 40 Hz for the bass, 16 dB at 6.5 Hz for the trebles and 16 dB at 400 or 800 Hz for the mids). In addition to the OPB-3 preamp, the Aguilar OBP-3SK comprises a combined treble/bass potentiometer, one for the mid range and a miniswitch that allows you to select the mid-frequency range (400 or 800 Hz).
