Walrus Audio introduce us to the third generation of their mighty compression pedal. Based on the iconic Universal Audio 1176 studio compressor, the interior of the Deep Six V3 has had a complete internal re-fit in contrast to the more cosmetic upgrade of version 2. Version 3 has a newly added Tone pot so that any overpowering lower frequencies can be fought back down and filtered out - endlessly useful when lower frequencies are in danger of taking up too much space in the mix, making everything sound less tight. By cutting the bass out, your tone stays tight. We also get the assurance of a 'soft switch/relay', added to enhance the reliability of this stompbox, alongside of the more conveniently placed in and output at the top of the housing - a consequence of the tried-and-tested build of other new Walrus Audio pedals. Naturally, this freshest incarnation of the Deep Six has been finished with a facelift, getting a typically mouthwatering deep-diver graphic print.
