Crafted from roasted tonewood, the Ortega Thermo Series RCE23RO electro-acoustic classical guitar features a relatively short scale length (630mm) and a relatively narrow nut (47mm), which combines with a cutaway for maximum playability and a playing feel that's more like a steel-string acoustic guitar.The Thermo TreatmentThe solid spruce soundboard, maple neck and jatoba fretboard and bridge have all undergone Ortega's special Thermo treatment, where the wood is heated in a vacuum chamber to remove any moisture and resin. This speeds up the natural ageing process that normally takes decades and ensures a faster response, clearer sound and increased insensitivity to temperature and humidity fluctuations. On top of that, the artificially aged wood gets a more played-in look and feel.
