Your backing track coming to a sudden halt is something you want to avoid at all costs during any live performance. By hooking up the SW8 to the main playback system, multiple systems can be synchronised via MTC. This takes away the need to buy and connect multiple audio interfaces, as all connections now run via the SW8. You can connect the SW8 to the main playback device via D-SUB, XLR and jack connectors, so that in case of a technical emergency, the SW8 switches everything over to the next system in your chain, without any drop-outs. Switching can be done automatically or manually.
